My Ideal DraftKings fantasy golf picks and lineups

Stars and Scrubs

Dustin Johnson
Jon Rahm
Kevin Kisner
Charley Hoffman
Ross Fisher
Graeme McDowell

Johnson and Rahm, despite missing the cut at the Memorial, are both about as sure of picks as you can ask for when it comes to the US Open. As always with the stars and scrubs approach, the big factor is having the right guys at the value points. That’s why the look here is for consistency over everything else.

Middle Load-up

Sergio Garcia
Brooks Koepka
Jason Dufner
Thomas Pieters
Matt Kuchar
Tyrell Hatton

You’re looking for high-upside here when you talk about loading up on the mid-tier players and banking on them playing like top-tier targets. These guys all have tremendous upside in addition to great track records in 2017. That doesn’t necessarily alleviate any potential risk, but it does make the upside for this lineup quite great.

My Optimum DraftKings Lineup

Jon Rahm
Rickie Fowler
Matt Kuchar
Louis Oosthuizen
Francesco Molinari
Jamie Lovemark

What you’ll notice about this lineup is that it leaves you with $400 in remaining salary on DraftKings. I’m perfectly fine with leaving money on the table because this seems like the best set of options. You have two elite guys in Rahm and Fowler that should be in contention. But on top of that, you’re looking at four guys who are being undervalued like crazy. That makes me love this lineup and more than willing to not spend the full salary allotment.
