Just five nights before the huge Money In The Bank pay-per-view in St. Louis, WWE SmackDown! Live rolls into the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans. It’s our final night before things get REALLY interesting around the WWE Universe.
On the men’s side of the board, the six men involved in Sunday’s Money In The Bank ladder match have been at war over the last few weeks. AJ Styles, Kevin Owens, Shinsuke Nakamura, Dolph Ziggler, Sami Zayn and Baron Corbin are bent on proving to the world that one of them will be declared “Mr. Money In The Bank.” What will we see out of these six as they make their final preparations for Sunday?

The women will get their time to shine this weekend as well. Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, Natalya, Carmella and Tamina have all been engulfed in quite the feud in recent weeks, and it will continue in New Orleans. The five of them will square off Sunday in the first ever WOMEN’S Money In The Bank ladder match. But there could be a major twist…”The Ravishing Russian” Lana made her return to TV last week and is determined to somehow get into the match. Will Shane McMahon pull the trigger and let her in?
We’ve not seen Randy Orton and new WWE Champion Jinder Mahal under the same roof since Mahal shocked the world last month and dethroned Orton for the title. Expect that to change on Tuesday night, just five days out from their rematch. Was Mahal’s victory last month a fluke, or are we gearing up for the summer of the Maharaja?

The winner of the two aforementioned Money In The Bank ladder matches on Sunday will step into an elite status. They will guarantee him or herself a shot at the WWE Championship or Women’s Championship ANYTIME over the next 12 months. We’ve seen some pretty chaotic things over the years from past winners, so it will be interesting to see if they will be patient with their shot or if they capitalize on an early cash-in.
