Josh Hart

Shooting Guard, Villanova

With Brooklyn going with long-term potential with the No. 22 pick, the team might elect to go with an NBA-ready player with the No. 27 pick. Hart was an NCAA National Champion in 2016 during Villanova’s title run. The forward averaged 18 points, six rebounds and three assists per game while averaging over 40 percent from the 3-point line. Hart’s ability to space the floor could make him an ideal fit in Kenny Atkinson’s motion offense. His ability to contribute all over the floor could allow Hart to grab big minutes immediately for a Brooklyn Nets team that figures to allow its younger players extended minutes next season.

Hart has played at the highest level of college basketball. He has played under the bright lights and in front of a national audience which should help the 22-year-old transition to the NBA. Although some may feel he is a reach at the No. 27 pick, Hart projects to be a worthwhile choice no matter where he goes in the draft.
