2. Atlanta Hawks

After giving up Kyle Korver for nothing, everyone thought the Atlanta Hawks would go into sell mode. Then, they kept it together and made it to the No. 4 seed of the Eastern Conference. Unfortunately, they did not make it past the first round of the playoffs. They are currently deciding how to keep Paul Millsap, but Rudy Gay actually makes sense here.

The Hawks have several frontcourt holes, and on paper, they could actually be in the top-4 discussion next year in the East with a move like this. Signing Gay to play along Schroder, Hardaway, Howard, and Millsap gives Atlanta a solid starting lineup, and they maintain some depth with guys who they signed through this season. While Atlanta likely earns another four seed making this move, adding Gay could be what they need to do to get back to the Conference Finals.
