DraftKings fantasy golf picks: Travelers Championship 2017
$8,000-$9,000
Brian Harman ($8,900)
He may not have been able to capture the U.S. Open, but Brian Harman continued what’s been a fantastic season to this point. Now he heads to TPC River Highlands, a course that rewards the type of play that he excels at with reliable putting and just a solid all-around game. Harman should pick up where he left off at Erin Hills this week at the Travelers.
Tony Finau ($8,700)
Though he hasn’t done so since April, Tony Finau has four top-10 finishes to his name on the 2017 season. He’s been a great player on top of that too, finishing in the top 40 in eight of his last 10 tournaments. Though he may not be a winner pick, Finau could be a strong scorer in fantasy and well worth the price when the end of the final round rolls around.
Kyle Stanley ($8,600)
Kyle Stanley wasn’t at the U.S. Open, but many wish he would’ve been for their DFS looks. He’s been great this season, registering two top-six finishes in his last four tournaments and three top-10s overall. He’s played well all season and has the look of a talented player that is really getting into a groove. I like him a lot this week at TPC River Highlands
Jim Furyk ($8,500)
Despite a tied-23rd finish at the U.S. Open, there hasn’t been much love for the veteran Jim Furyk this season on the PGA Tour. With that said, you’ll remember the Travelers as the tournament that Furyk shot a ridiculous 58 at one year ago. With that kind of score possible, you simply have to include him when considering your DraftKings fantasy golf picks.
Bubba Watson ($8,400)
Last season at the Travelers was a great showing for Bubba Watson as he wound up in the top five. With that being said, he’s not been playing all that well in terms of consistency this season, missing half of the cuts this season. However, he’s also registered two top-10s. Thus, it’s a mixed bag with Bubba, as is his M.O. But he could be a strong player at the Travelers.
Kevin Tway ($8,200)
Kevin Tway has been a nice player this season overall, but really as of late. He was cut at the Memorial Tournament, sure. However, his previous four outings were all top-20 finishes. That run included two-straight top-five finishes at the Valero Texas Open and then the Wells Fargo. He’s been a steady player and could be a nice play on a course that rewards steady play.
