Offense

Notable losses: The big notable loss on offense for the Seminoles is running back Dalvin Cook. He was one of the most dynamic running backs in the program’s history and really helped carry the team to a lot of wins. They also lost offensive tackle Roderick Johnson. That will be a key cog replaced this year. Travis Rudolph and the receiving core are no longer in place. The Seminoles will have a new look at the receiving position.

QB: Deondre Francois RS, Sophomore

Francois is a special talent that has all the potential in the world. After a strong showing last season, Francois can take that next step this season and put his team in the College Football Playoff. He has the tools on the field to succeed.

RB: Jacques Patrick, Junior

With Cook leaving for the NFL, Patrick along with Cam Akers will now take over at the running back spot. Patrick has flashed plenty of potential in his tenure in Tallahassee and now will get his chance to shine.

WR: Nyqwan Murray, Junior

WR: Auden Tate, Junior

WR: Keith Gavin, Sophomore

The Florida State receivers have the tough task early of developing a rhythm with Francois. While they have been finding it in spring, they will have no time to waste with Alabama calling. They all have experience but it’s going to be a new look and they don’t have time to go through the motions.

TE: Ryan Izzo, RS Junior

If there’s a receiving option that Francois could rely on a lot, it’s tight end Ryan Izzo. The redshirt junior was a big player for the Seminoles last season and has established himself as a consistent option.

LT: Josh Ball, RS Freshman

LG: Cole Minshew, RS Freshman

C: Alec Eberle, RS Junior

RG: Landon Dickerson, Sophomore

RT: Rick Leonard, Senior

This is going to be the big question mark for the Seminoles. A young offensive line in a year with high hopes. Protecting Francois is going to be a must and this line is going to be tested early and often. Leonard and Eberle are going to have to provide as much wisdom as possible to the other three in a hurry.
