Defense

Notable Losses: DeMarcus Walker will be a big piece missed by the Florida State defensive line. He was yet another in a long line of monsters that the program has put on the field. In the secondary, replacing Marquez White will also be a must.

DE: Josh Sweat, Junior

DT: Demarcus Christmas, RS Junior

NT: Derrick Nnadi, Senior

As is evident here, there is plenty of experience among the Florida State defensive line. When one key player departs, they have the strength in numbers to put reinforcements right in. Derrick Nnadi is going to be a force to reckon with in the ACC and should anchor the line.

OLB: Brian Burns, Sophomore

SLB: Jacob Pugh, Senior

MLB: Ro’Derrick Hoskins, RS Senior

WLB: Matthew Thomas, RS Senior

Once again this is another position group for the Seminoles that is strong with experience. This is where the Seminoles will turn to along with their defensive line to carry the team during tough times. Hoskins, Thomas and Pugh have the talent to make this one of the best.

CB: Tarvarus McFadden, Junior

FS: Derwin James, RS Sophomore

SS: Trey Marshall, Senior

CB: Kyle Meyers, Sophomore

Nickel: Levonta Taylor, Sophomore

Derwin James is the big name here as he makes his awaited return. He is scary explosive and should be one of the superstars in all of college football. The name to keep an eye on is Levonta Taylor. He might not be the biggest but he is extra tenacious and has improved big time in spring ball.

Special Teams

PR: Derwin James, RS Sophomore

KR: Cam Akers, Freshman

K: Ricky Aguayo, Sophomore

P: Logan Tyler, Sophomore

The Aguayo family tree remains strong for the Florida State kicking game. The return game has the potential to be dynamic with James handling punt returns and Akers taking kick returns for the team.
