Mike Evans

Wide Receiver, Texas A&M Aggies

Like their division rival Carolina Panthers, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers came up a shade close of making the NFC Playoffs. Losing out on a three-team tiebreaker hurts, but this team is without question heading in the right direction.

They do have a difficult choice to make picking at No. 20 in the SEC redistribution draft: do they bring back inside linebacker Kwon Alexander or wide receiver Mike Evans? Since this is Dirk Koetter’s football team and one that loves to pass, Tampa Bay will naturally go with the former Texas A&M wideout at No. 20.

Evans has by now elevated his game to that of a top-10 wide receiver in the NFL. He is a matchup nightmare that the Buccaneers simply cannot recreate in the aggregate. Defending the Buccaneers’ passing game has become increasingly difficult by the game.

Tampa Bay is fortunate to have the rookie clause slapped on former Alabama Crimson Tide tight end O.J. Howard from having him enter the SEC redistribution pool. The Buccaneers should be in good shape to finally win 10 or more games in 2018. This offense will be otherworldly.

Hey, Kirk! Bruce Allen did like that! The Washington Redskins are now on the clock…
