Cam Newton

Quarterback, Auburn Tigers

Somehow, some way, the Cleveland Browns didn’t finish with the worst record in football in 2017. They might have doubled, tripled or even quadrupled their win total from a year ago. While the Browns only won one game in 2016, progress is progress as Moneyball has taken over Northeast Ohio like The Process in Philadelphia.

Cleveland still has one major problem on their team. The Browns don’t have a solid starting quarterback. Since none of the guys they have are anything special, Cleveland will use the No. 4 overall pick to take a special dual-threat signal caller in Cam Newton.

Though he might be a front-runner at heart, teams cannot deny Newton’s arm talent, mobility and one-of-a-kind on-field charisma when things are going well. He has shown through his NFL and that one year at Auburn that he can elevate his teammates play and take them to new heights.

It sounds ridiculous, but by adding Newton the Browns have finally solved their quarterback woes. Newton gladly takes the throne from St. Bernie Kosar. The only problem is that Newton may only play three or four more years before playing in Cleveland finally breaks him. However, his addition makes the Browns a near playoff team in 2018 in an increasingly bad AFC North.

Jed York didn’t leak stuff to ESPN this year. The San Francisco 49ers are now on the clock…
