Reason No. 3: You could even re-hash some old storylines, pro wrestling-style (Remember Mayweather vs. Big Show at the same WrestleMania as Kim Kardashian?)

If you’re a knowledgeable pro wrestling fan, what’s one thing about the business that keeps you coming back? Yes, an acceptable answer is Sasha Banks. I’ll allow it.

But seriously, we love stories as wrestling fans, don’t we? When a story is told properly, we talk about it forever with anyone who will listen.

Remember when Floyd Mayweather broke the Big Show’s nose at No Way Out — a very underrated pay-per-view in its time — in 2008 that led into Mayweather beating Show at WrestleMania XXIV, which brought fans being burned by a pyro accident and the disaster known as Kim Kardashian with a live microphone (Remember, any kind of money is money for WWE. Even Kardashian money.)

Why not give Show some television time in the back or something for a segment? It would add a concluding detail to a story and a match that … wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. It was actually entertaining, which is the goal, right? The big man isn’t going to be around for much longer and since his Shaq match at WrestleMania 33 fell through, why not give him a spotlight with Mayweather again for a minute or two?

Good stories being told are the lifeblood of wrestling. If you can get a story over, you’ve won. Other fans outside of hardcore fans probably won’t understand, but maybe a flashback or two with Michael Cole blabbering about their past could help matters for newer fans.
