Guards

Skylar Diggins-Smith – Dallas Wings ($7,100): Fresh off a 16-point, six-assist Wednesday afternoon performance against San Antonio, Skylar Diggins-Smith has been doing it all for a Dallas team that has had their “ups and downs” all season. We know she can score. We know she can pass. But the real question here is do you want to pay for her services when Brittney Griner and Sylvia Fowles are also available on Friday? Maybe not, but you can’t go wrong either as she has had the Stars’ number all season with an average of 33 fantasy points per game.

Courtney Williams – Connecticut Sun ($6,400): Not a great matchup for Connecticut but we have a few factors to consider here. First, the Sun are coming off a big win over a Minnesota team that has been absolutely dominant, increasing their current winning streak to four games so you’d have to think they have some momentum on their side. Secondly, the Sun are currently running their starting unit into the ground with Lynetta Kizer and Morgan Tuck out with injuries. If Kizer and/or Tuck find themselves back in the mix of things or if Alex Bentley suits up on Friday night, then Williams’ fantasy stock will drop. Consider the same to hold true for Jasmine Thomas ($5,900). Keep an eye of things before tip-off but if those two do not play, then consider Williams and Thomas a go for your lineup as they will see tons of minutes and take a bunch of shots.

Diana Taurasi – Phoenix Mercury ($6,400): The new WNBA all-time leading scorer Diana Taurasi is having a great season and will matchup well against a struggling defensive team in the Storm. She leads the league in 3-point shots and will get plenty of looks against a Seattle team that gives up almost 23 percent of their points from downtown. Keep an eye on Danielle Robinson’s status before game time as well as Taurasi will see a small bump in minutes if she is out once again.

Kayla McBride – San Antonio Stars ($5,700): Kayla McBride has been one of the only good things that has been going on in San Antonio. She leads the team in minutes, points, 3s, and rebounds per game. The Stars aren’t exactly deep either and have been restricting most of their bench minutes to a select few. The only drawback is that McBride loves to shoot from downtown, something that Dallas has been doing well defending against. If you are short on cap space, give Moriah Jefferson ($5,100) a look as she is coming off a 16-point, six-assist game on Wednesday against Dallas, the team they will square off with again on Friday night. If you need to go even lower, Monique Currie ($3,600) is ridiculously underpriced and also recently beat up on Dallas with a 36 fantasy point performance.

Layshia Clarendon – Atlanta Dream ($5,500): I like Layshia Clarendon here against a Chicago team that is horrible. She may be slightly underpriced too. I also don’t mind Bria Holmes ($4,700) as she has been seeing some good minutes recently.

Seimone Augustus – Minnesota Lynx ($5,000): I really like anyone going up against Washington so Seimone Augustus may be a nice bargain option if you are trying to save some cap space. She hasn’t dipped lower than 22 fantasy points over the last four games and is getting her minutes in. She is more consistent than Lindsay Whalen and Renee Montgomery who are only priced a tad lower.
