Thabo Sefolosha

Small Forward, Atlanta Hawks

The most important thing the Wizards can do to improve their luck coming off the bench is to sign a high-end rotational player out on the wing. One guy that would be an excellent fit for the Wizards would be Atlanta Hawks swingman Thabo Sefolosha.

Not only would signing Sefolosha make Washington better, but it would make a division rival in Atlanta worse. Sefolosha has proven over the last several years that he can be a seventh or eighth-man in a solid NBA rotation, capable of spot starting at either the two or three if need be.

He is more of a defensive-minded player than anything, but plays with a raw sense of athleticism that could help the Wizards offense play with more pace in transition. Sefolosha averaged 7.2 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game with the 2016-17 Hawks primarily coming off the Atlanta bench.

Keep in mind that he played for Wizards head coach Scott Brooks for years when they were part of the Oklahoma City Thunder organization. Since Atlanta has to worry about other players like Paul Millsap, Tim Hardaway Jr. and Mike Muscala, Sefolosha is a prime candidate to be poached away by some team like Washington desperate for wing depth.
