Ron Baker

Every beer league softball team needs that ultimate utility guy. It helps if he has a heaping mop of blonde hair for people to give him noogies after he does something good on the field. Clearly this beer league softball team needs Ron Baker, who is too big to dream small.

Unlike most of his beer league softball teammates, Baker might actually know what he is doing on a softball diamond. He has learned how to play in utter dysfunction after becoming Carmelo Anthony’s best friend with the New York Knicks.

Baker would hit at the top of the order or in the two-hole, probably playing up the middle defensively. Unfortunately for Baker, basketball egos are massive. Just look at the Knicks. He might be a top-five player on this beer league softball team, but he’ll have to come off the bench because of the supremely vain nature of this team that is almost certainly going under .500 this summer.

That being said, Baker is the player on this beer league softball team to most likely hit a game-winning walk-off home run to win this ragtag gang of goofballs the beer league championship. Expect Baker to have his beautiful blonde locks noogied and covered in warm, cheap beer before he crosses the plate. There’s nothing shocking about this former Wichita State Shocker being good at softball.
