Von Miller

Outside Linebacker, DeSoto, Texas

Unfortunately for the Cleveland Browns, they did not play bad enough to retain star rookie Myles Garrett in the 2018 Texas Draft. Their consolation prize, Von Miller, should fill the void left in the hearts of Browns fans due to the departure of Garrett. While Miller is no longer a spring chicken, he does have a lot of football left in him, and joins a Cleveland team that is currently rebuilding towards being relevant in the NFL once again.

The addition of Miller does two huge things for the Browns, as they say goodbye to their No. 1 overall pick from last year. He can team with Jamie Collins to form a terrific 1-2 outside linebacker tandem, which should give teams fits in the AFC North. He also gives the Browns an outstanding pass rusher, which is an area they will certainly take a dip in with Garrett heading to the Windy City at pick No. 3.

Bringing in a player like Miller will do wonders for the Browns, as he is not only an incredible leader on the field, but also a Super Bowl Champion. This organization has been the punching bag for the league since the NFL brought football back to Cleveland, but don’t expect a player like Miller to continue to allow that to happen. His arrival should also help Brock Osweiler, who played his best football during his time with Miller in Denver.

The No. 4 pick is one of two for the Browns in the first round, as they were able to nab the Houston Texans pick by trading down in the 2017 NFL Draft. We expect them to go defense with that pick late in round one, but at No. 4, the organization cannot go wrong with a player like Von Miller.
