Jeremy Lamb

In researching for this article, I discovered that Iceland is famous for their lamb hot dogs. In fact, hot dogs are really popular in Iceland and I now wonder why the Nathan’s Hot Dog Contest isn’t held in Iceland every year. It’d be a much cooler venue than New York. Let’s start a petition to move the competition to Iceland.

Iceland hot dogs are made from Icelandic lamb with a bit of pork and beef. This sounds a lot better than eating beef trimmings that American hot dogs are made of. Iceland doesn’t import any live animals, so you know the lambs that were killed in order to make these hot dogs are original and organic Iceland lambs. If that type of stuff matters to you. According to anyone who has ever had an Icelandic hot dog, you have to load it up with a bunch of condiments. That makes this competition a bit messier, but whatever. When in Iceland.

I don’t know how Jeremy Lamb would do in this competition. As the leader of the Jeremy Lamb fan club (our names are similar, if you haven’t noticed), I imagine he’d win. He’s only in this competition because I googled “lamb hot dog” and came away with the desire to go to Iceland for a hot dog. The Internet is amazing.
