2. Taj Gibson, PF, Oklahoma City Thunder

This option’s a little bit more expensive, but it also comes with a reward. Taj Gibson will come in and play the David West role. Yes, they’re both bald and aging, but their games are also pretty similar.

Both are tough-nosed, defensive-minded players who have a lot of energy. Gibson’s a lot younger than West, but will be a little bit more expensive as well. The long-time Chicago Bull was traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder this past season, but it’s uncertain if he’ll re-sign there.

Between Chicago and Oklahoma City, Gibson averaged about 25 minutes per game, while scoring 10.8 points and grabbing 6.2 rebounds per game. At age 31, he still has a few solid years left in him to compete off the bench.

Draymond Green has played lots of minutes in a lot of games these past few seasons. He’s playing against bigger guys in tougher situations. It’s important for the Warriors to find him a good backup to preserve his health and level of play as well.

Gibson would be a sweet signing for the Warriors if they can make it happen. They can replace one bald veteran in David West, with another in Taj Gibson.
