Now the Pacers need to address the point guard position. Supposedly, Lance Stephenson is going to get more time handling the ball, which could only mean that the Pacers are trying to tank the season to get a higher draft pick.

But in the case that they’re trying to convince PG13 to sign long-term in Indiana, adding a veteran Kyle Lowry would be a great option. Although George has played with Roy Hibbert, David West and even Danny Granger, Lowry would probably be the best teammate George has had till date.

Lowry is also coming off his best season as a Raptor, where he averaged 22.4 points per game, 7.0 assists on a career-best 46 percent shooting. It would relieve George of some of his scoring duties and allow him to become a playmaker and defender. Bringing Lowry would also show to George that Indiana is willing to put the pieces around him to be successful.

The Raptors’ point guard has had his share of playoff struggles, but every season he only seems to come back stronger. If last season was any indication, Lowry will only be better heading into age 32.

The Pacers were hoping Teague could evolve into this with George this season, but unfortunately it never materialized. They likely let Teague and Aaron Brooks walk, leaving them with only one true point guard on the roster.

Lowry has said that he only wants be playing on championship contenders, but there’s a chance he heads to Indy if George commits long-term.
