Tony Stewart

Tony Stewart could actually be involved in multiple parts of your heist, thanks to his role as both a former Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series driver and co-owner of Stewart Haas-Racing. It would be absolutely believable if he was the mystery benefactor calling the shots and cutting your checks, but he could also come out of retirement to serve as your getaway driver.

Over his career, Stewart was both a NASCAR Cup Series champion and an Indy Racing League (IRL) champion, plus he won the 2009 NASCAR All-Star Race, the 2006 IROC championship, the 1995 USAC Triple Crown and the 1994 USAC National Midget Series title. He’s a proven winner through and through.

Add in the five o’clock shadow and his generally devil may care attitude off-track, and he somewhat well embodies the grizzled veteran who’s signing up for that one last job before he drives off into the sunset. He’s like Danny Glover in Lethal Weapon, just with cars.

Stewart can be hot-tempered and get into altercations with folks, and of course there was the 2016 dune buggy accident in which he injured his back and truncated his farewell season. But he’s also been able to poke fun at himself, whether it’s his attitude, his weight (remember when he called himself “too fat to be climbing fences” after that All-Star Race win and started a whole Home Depot promotion?) or just in general.

He may be older and a little more banged up, but he’s still got something to offer the getaway crew looking for someone who knows what they’re doing.
