The action in Group C gets underway on Sunday in San Diego. Curacao face Jamaica in the opening game of the group. This is the first Gold Cup Curacao have qualified for since the tournament started in 1991. Jamaica enter the tournament attempting to get back to final, after losing to Mexico in 2015.

Curacao have one of the most interesting rosters in the tournament as they have the fewest players playing in their national league. Only three players on the roster play in Curacao with the rest of the roster playing across Europe. Curacao will lean on Felitciano Zschusschen and Gino van Kessel to score goals. Zschusschen plays in Germany and is Curacao’s all-time leading scorer.

Jamaica’s roster is fairly different from the team that lost to Mexico in 2015. Only nine players on Jamaica’s roster have more than 10 caps and only two players play outside of Jamaica and the United States. Jermaine Taylor has the most caps of any active Jamaica player. The Minnesota United defender will be in charge of organizing the Reggae Boyz back line.
