Ideal DraftKings fantasy golf lineups

Stars and Scrubs

Daniel Berger ($11,300)
Danny Lee ($10,200)
Bryson DeChambeau ($7,800)
Curtis Luck ($7,100)
Scott Brown ($7,000)
Cody Gribble ($6,500)

Of the top-tier stars playing at the John Deere this week and priced in the highest tier on DraftKings, Berger and Lee are my favorites. As always, though, this type of lineup needs the so-called scrubs to hit big in relation to their value. That’s going to be critical if you’re going to finish in the money. Brown and Luck aren’t actually that concerning given the history in this tournament and play this season. If DeChambeau can continue his recent form, he’s not much of a worry either. The hope, however, is that Gribble can pull through.

Two Highs, Two Mids, Two Lows

Charley Hoffman ($9,700)
Kyle Stanley ($9,600)
Bud Cauley ($8,500)
David Hearn ($8,200)
Curtis Luck ($7,100)
Michael Kim ($6,900)

We’ll start with the lows when looking at this lineup and, again, you have to like Luck and the way he’s been playing. As for Kim, he seems poised to have a breakout performance in this tournament. Meanwhile, there’s no worries with Stanley and Hoffman, given how well both men have been playing lately and this year overall. The mids are where this could be huge. Hearn’s been great of late, which you hope continues. However, the big key could be Cauley. He’s been inconsistent this season and will need to step it up.

Best DraftKings Fantasy Golf Lineup

Danny Lee ($10,200)
Kyle Stanley ($9,600)
Charles Howell ($9,000)
Nick Taylor ($7,600)
Jonathan Randolph ($6,800)
Brandon Hagy ($6,700)

There is a ton of risk with this lineup and, frankly, I would only play it in tournaments. With that being said, there’s a lot of upside here. Lee, Stanley and Howell at the top are expensive, but have all been playing so well that I have no problem playing up for them in such an overall week field. I’m also quite confident in Taylor, a steal at that price. However, Randolph and Hagy are wildcards with a lot of variance. If they pull through, which I think they can, this could be a big winner.
