Rob Gronkowski willing to fight any NFL player for $100 million
With the Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor fight scheduled, Sports Illustrated asked Rob Gronkowski who in the NFL he would fight for $100 million.
It is a battle that anyone would pay the exorbitant fee to watch. A fight that would draw hundreds of millions of people from around the world to their television or local establishment to view two giants engaging in one-on-one combat. All for a $100 million payout.
No, I am not talking about the fight between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor. They would be lucky to get the draw this potential event would create. I mean a match between the New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski and anyone else in the NFL.
In an interview by Sports Illustrated with Gronkowski, he was asked “who in the NFL would he fight for $100 million?” His answer was predictable.
Anyone.
I mean, when you are 6-feet 6, weigh 265 pounds, and possess incredible athleticism, you can say you would fight anyone. But, just think of the possibilities.
Gronkowski vs. J.J. Watt. Or maybe defensive tackle Aaron Donald of the Los Angeles Rams.
How about Khalil Mack of the (for now) Oakland Raiders?
Luke Kuechley? Joe Thomas?
No, I got it. Ben Roethlisberger.
The participation to Gronkowski alone ensures all of New England to watch, and 75 percent of the rest of the nation to watch just to see if he loses. The Las Vegas betting lines would be astronomical, and it would go down as the biggest grossing fight in history.
And, with the unpredictability of Gronkowski, we could hire Mike Tyson to do his training. Instagram and Twitter could do live events from the gym. It would be a social media dream.
As for the location, how about on board of the Gronk Party Ship? At least for the week leading up to the event. Then the fight would be in Miami.

It would be legendary.
