4. Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jaguars picked up Blake Bortles’ 2018 option, but this is still shaping up to be a make-or-break year for the quarterback. Bortles was drafted third overall the same year Manziel was a first-round pick of the Browns (2014), has struggled with turnovers (63 total in 46 games) and new front office head honcho Tom Coughlin has no ties to him.

Jacksonville has not added any competition for Bortles though, and it’s past the point where they can really do so this year. But backup Chad Henne has not attempted a pass in either of the last two regular seasons and 2016 sixth-round pick Brandon Allen may make a push up the depth chart in camp after being inactive all last season.

It can be debated if Manziel would be an actual upgrade to Jacksonville’s quarterback depth chart, or if they’d even consider looking to add someone. But this side of Colin Kaepernick or Robert Griffin III there’s aren’t many options-good, bad or otherwise-and Manziel is at least worth bringing in as a flier for the start of camp.
