9. Bryson DeChambeau (+12500)

Especially after showing so much promise in the 2016 season, Bryson DeChambeau has been immensely disappointing overall this year. The former SMU Mustangs golf star began the year missing 12-of-16 cuts and looking like he had no real direction. Famous for tinkering with his game and for his same-length clubs throughout the bag, DeChambeau looked nothing like the promising young player many hoped he’d be.

As of late, however, that’s taken a drastic turn for the better. DeChambeau has made four-straight cuts, and has looked quite great in the process. He’s finished in the top 26 in all four of those tournaments, even finishing tied-17th or better in his last three outings. Even better, he’s coming into the 2017 British Open having won the John Deere Classic this past week, which actually earned him a spot in the field at Royal Birkdale. Looking at what he’s turned around, it’s not hard to figure out why he’s had more success.

Even during his successes a year ago, DeChambeau’s putter was often his downfall. So even when he was playing well tee-to-green, the flat stick would ultimately betray him. However, that’s turned around tremendously as of late. What’s more, he’s also been playing with great accuracy off of the tee. If he can keep those things up in the tough English conditions, there’s no reason to believe The Mad Scientist can’t keep this up.
