$8,000-$9,000

Brooks Koepka ($9,000)
Brooks Koepka hasn’t played since winning the 2017 U.S. Open, which could be both a good and bad thing. One of the key things in his victory at the second major of the year was his accuracy off the tee while still being one of the biggest hitters on the tour. While being accurate is going to be a much tougher task with the expected winds and the course at Royal Birkdale, if he can show the same type of control, he’s going to be a big player at The Open Championship.

Phil Mickelson ($8,700)
There’s been nothing spectacular about Phil Mickelson this season, which you’d expect from someone in their mid-40s. He has just two top-10 finishes to his name, and didn’t play at the U.S. Open as he attended his daughter’s graduation that Thursday. With that being said, he’s yet to miss a cut this season, and continued solid play could serve him well at the British Open.

Adam Scott ($8,500)
Last year at the British Open was forgettable for Adam Scott, but he’s had tremendous success in the third major in years past. From 2012-15, he finished in the top 10 in each event. Though his recent form hasn’t been much to speak of, the Australian has four top-10s this season and only has two missed cuts all year. He’s a sneaky solid option here that shouldn’t be overlooked.

Louis Oosthuizen ($8,300)
A former British Open champion, Louis Oosthuizen missed the cut last year in the third major of the year, but hasn’t missed a cut since then. He’s been playing exceptionally solid golf, finishing in the top 25 in has three starts and having three top-10 finishes in 10 starts this season. He’s a nice play with relatively good value here at Royal Birkdale.

Justin Thomas ($8,200)
Especially coming off of two missed cuts in his last pair of starts, Justin Thomas is somewhat of a high-upside wild card at the British Open. When he’s accurate from the tee box, he has the overall game to really do damage. You’ll know quickly whether or not he was a good play or not if you have him in your lineup on DraftKings.
