25. Vince Vaughn – Notre Dame Fighting Irish

One of the funniest men in Hollywood, Vince Vaughn has appeared in too many movies to count during his career. From Wedding Crashers to Dodgeball, Vaughn has become one of the more popular comedic actors in movies right now. He has played a ton of roles during his time in Hollywood, though one role has to be dear to his heart.

The movie was Rudy, which is the story of Rudy Ruettiger, an undersized football player who walked on and made the Notre Dame football team. Vaughn played a running back in the movie, which must have been a thrill, considering he is such a huge fan of the program.

Born in suburban Chicago, Vaughn has been a Fighting Irish fan his entire life. He has done it all with the team, including being involved in the Players’ Walk before the game. To show his loyalty to the team, Vaughn has appeared on College GameDay, and he also can be spotted on the sideline during most of the team’s high-profiled games.

Vaughn and co-star Owen Wilson played a pretty big role in a Notre Dame win one time as well. Prior to the team’s game against the Purdue Boilermakers back in 2012, Vaughn and Wilson led the Players’ Walk, and the team went on to beat the Boilermakers. There is no end to his fandom for the team, and he can regularly be spotted rocking his Notre Dame hat when he is out in public.

For most, Vaughn will always be just a funnyman on television, but his love for the Fighting Irish is topped by very few celebrities out there.
