2. Marc-Andre Fleury

Though the veteran netminder lost his starting spot with the Pittsburgh Penguins to Matt Murray, there is no denying the skill and ability that Fleury still possesses at 32 years old.

With an impressive resume, Fleury has put up consistent seasons and remarkable career totals. Not only did he finish in the top ten for Vezina consideration twice, but he is a five-time All-Star and a former first-overall pick.

However, this past season, the Quebec native experienced a setback. In just 38 starts, Fleury posted an 18-10-7 record, as well as a 3.02 GAA and .912 save percentage, the worst numbers of his career. Though there was concern about his ability moving forward, and with his time in Pittsburgh coming to an end, Fleury made a comeback in the 2017 playoffs, stepping up and showing his true worth after Murray fell victim to injury.

In 15 postseason starts, Fleury shined in net, recording a 9-6-0 record, as well as a remarkable .924, save percentage and 2.56 GAA. He stood on his head through the first two rounds of the playoffs and helped his team return to the Cup Final, where they would eventually repeat as Cup champions.

A three-time Stanley Cup champion, Fleury is bound to bring his success and confidence to the Vegas goal crease, especially as the team’s trusted starter and one of their big-name franchise players.
