Los Angeles Chargers: Dan Feeney, Forrest Lamp, Kenny Wiggins

There is a lot to love about this newly christened Los Angeles Chargers. Conversely, there is a lot left to be desired with this same club. We get it. Qualcomm Stadium wasn’t cutting it down in San Diego, so why not be a second tenant to the Los Angeles Galaxy at the StubHub Center in Carson? At least Philip Rivers doesn’t have to move his family two hours north. He can commute to the new Chargers facility in his truck.

What may or may not be traveling with him and the Chargers to Los Angeles is a competent offensive line. If it is anything close to respectable, the Chargers have a shot at the AFC West crown. Seriously. The position battle to watch up front for Los Angeles has to be at guard.

Los Angeles drafted two high-end interior offensive linemen in the 2017 NFL Draft. How can you not love Forrest Lamp coming out of Western Kentucky? He might end up being the best lineman taken in this most recent draft. Some even prefer that kid out of Indiana by the name of Dan Feeney. Of course, there is the veteran Kenny Wiggins to keep those two rookies in check.

In recent years, the Chargers have made good on their draft picks. Joey Bosa may have held out during training camp last year, but he did win Defensive Rookie of the Year. He and Melvin Ingram make up a pretty tasty pass rushing tandem for the Chargers going forward. If Feeney, Lamp and Wiggins can keep Rivers upright in a clean pocket, this might be the best Chargers team since the 14-2 club that saw head coach Marty Schottenheimer get fired from. Oh, Chargers.
