New England Patriots: Danny Amendola, Chris Hogan, Malcolm Mitchell

The best just got better. If you don’t think that the New England Patriots didn’t win the 2017 NFL season, well, you’re wrong. The defending Super Bowl Champions are poised to make it three Lombardi Trophies in four years with their juggernaut football. This team was already stacked and the front office did a masterful job of reloading.

While Tom Brady is 40, he has the receiving weapons to win a sixth Super Bowl before leaving the game on top. At tight end, he has Rob Gronkowski and recently acquired Dwyane Allen. Brady stable of running backs is right up there with anybody. He also has two great wide receivers in Julian Edelman in the slot and Brandin Cooks on the outside.

Where things will get interesting in Patriots camp is what to make of their other three wideouts: Danny Amendola, Chris Hogan and Malcolm Mitchell. While New England would love to have all three make their 53-man roster, it would not be shocking to see one of them get cut out of camp. Hogan and Mitchell are only in their second years with the team. Maybe it’s Amendola who is the odd man out?

Look for all three to push each other to make the Patriots receiving corps even more elite. If Amendola can really shine in camp, this will be a very difficult decision for head coach Bill Belichick to make. He could keep all five wide receivers, but something has to give, right?
