High Value Forwards

Jantel Lavender – Los Angeles Sparks ($4,000) Jantel Lavender may be called upon more against New York due to her physical style. She’s a big, strong and athletic presence who can bring a lot to the table on Friday night. She hasn’t been playing too badly recently and is one of those players who you may not consider to have an efficient fantasy performance until it’s too late. She is a little risky but at that price, you really won’t lose much if she fails to meet expectations.

Marissa Coleman – Indiana Fever ($3,400) Candice Dupree missed the Fever’s last game to be with her wife and fellow WNBA player DeWanna Bonner as they welcomed the arrival of the couples’ twin girls. If Dupree does find her way back for Indiana’s game against Chicago, Marissa Coleman’s stock will drop considerably. However, if Dupree misses another one, consider Coleman for a low-priced option if you find yourself in a crunch. Check Dupree’s status prior to tip-off.

Alysha Clark – Seattle Storm ($3,300) Alysha Clark played 35 minutes against Dallas a week ago, scoring 14 points and pulling down seven rebounds. She has the potential to see numbers far exceeding her value on a team that relies heavily on their starting unit.

Tianna Hawkins – Washington Mystics ($3,300) Same story here, many of the players on Washington are injured leaving the door open for Tianna Hawkins to see a good amount of playing time.

Kayla Alexander – San Antonio Stars ($3,000) San Antonio has nothing to lose and as a result are looking towards next season. They have been experimenting with different groups of players which saw Kayla Alexander see a big increase in minutes against New York. A couple of things can happen here, you either keep her out of your lineup and she tanks leaving you a leg up on those who want to ride her coattails on Friday. Another scenario is that she plays great and you just scored big for only $3,000.
