The Nationals picked up an important 9-4 win over the Cubs Sunday at Wrigley Field, earning a series win in the process. Matt Weiters provided the big blow with a grand slam in the top of the eighth inning.

Weiters led the Nats with six RBI last week, followed by Anthony Rendon with five. Newcomer Howie Kendrick led the club with eight hits and Daniel Murphy and Bryce Harper each had seven. Murphy was the only Nationals hitter to homer twice during the week.
