High Salary Forward – Part 2

Jonquel Jones – Connecticut Sun ($8,200): If I am going to spend this type of cash, I’d rather take Candace Parker but only because I like the matchup she has better than that of Jonquel Jones. However, there is no denying how well Jones has been playing as of late. Over the past five games, Jones is averaging 46 fantasy points and has matched up relatively well against New York all season.

Tina Charles – New York Liberty ($7,800): New York has a tough matchup against a Connecticut team that will more than likely end up the third seed in the playoffs this season. However, Tina Charles priced at only $7,800 is just too good to pass up. Though Charles isn’t playing as well as she did at the end of July, she always has the potential to break out for a 40 fantasy point game. You probably won’t see her priced this low again so take advantage of it while the getting is good.

Alyssa Thomas – Connecticut Sun ($7,700): Alyssa Thomas, just like Tina Charles, always has the potential to put up big-time fantasy production. And just like Charles, she hasn’t been playing as well recently. However, recent inefficient performances will shy people away from putting her into their lineups but this is how we win sometimes, especially in tournaments where each move can make or break your night. While everyone will be trying to get Sylvia Fowles or Breanna Stewart into their lineups, consider taking a chance, save some cash and break free from the tournament pack. Thomas has a huge fantasy upside and you could be benefiting from that after Friday night.

Maya Moore – Minnesota Lynx ($7,400): While Sylvia Fowles struggled against Indiana the last time the two clubs met, Maya Moore did not and had a fantastic game. She put up 40 fantasy points against the Fever by a performance highlighted by 28 points and six boards. The value is there and the matchup is great so why not give Moore a chance?
