The Toronto Argonauts host the Montreal Alouettes at BMO Field on Saturday, Aug. 19. Here’s all the info you need to watch.

After defeating the Toronto Argonauts 21-9 last week, the Montreal Alouettes moved into first place in the East. The Argos have a chance to regain first place in the East when the two teams meet in Toronto on Saturday.

The Argonauts were forced to start Jeff Mathews at quarterback after Ricky Ray was injured the previous week. Mathews, as he has been his entire CFL career was awful. The good news for Toronto, Ray appears to be ahead of schedule and signs are pointing him being able to start against Montreal in the rematch. If Ray is unable to start, former Nevada quarterback Cody Fajardo will likely start over Mathews. No matter who starts at quarterback, Toronto needs its defense to step up. The Argos led the CFL in sacks with 27 but continue to be without Victor Butler and Cleyon Laing who have 10 of Toronto’s sacks.

Quarterback Darien Durant might not be able to put up the same numbers he did earlier in his career but his efficient, turnover free play has Montreal first in the East. As long as Durant continues to avoid turnovers and Montreal runs the football well they have a chance to win most games because of their stellar defense. The Alouettes are allowing 22.7 points per game, second best in the league. Amazingly, Montreal is not giving up points despite being last in sacks and interceptions by a wide margin.
