Winter is Coming

  • Vintage Classics is set for three new re-releases of Ian Fleming’s Casino Royale, Live and Let Die, and Goldfinger. You can check out the covers (in draft form) at MI6 Headquarters.
  • Logan Lucky, starring Daniel Craig in a supporting role, was released in theaters on Friday. Box office numbers for the independently-released film, have been disappointing.
  • British tabloid, The Sun, is already listing Tom Hardy as the 4-1 favorite to replace Daniel Craig after Bond 25.
  • Top Gear provided its list of the best (and worst) of the Bond vehicles. No surprise that the DB5 and Lotus Esprit are among the best. For the rest, check it out yourself.

    Sean Connery will be celebrating his 87th birthday on August 25th. Connery, of course, starred as James Bond in six official Bond films, as well as the non-Eon produced Never Say Never Again. Connery has been something of a recluse since retiring his final film, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, in 2003.
