5. Detroit Pistons

The Detroit Pistons haven’t been the same since the days of Chauncey Billups and Rip Hamilton. LeBron James used a 48-point game in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals in 2007 to end their run.

Since then, the Pistons have been a walking example of mediocrity. Their fans have had absolutely nothing to cheer for, except for getting swept in the first round against the Cleveland Cavaliers last season. They have some young talent in Reggie Jackson, Andre Drummond and Stanley Johnson, but it seems to be a car without a direction.

Like most teams in the NBA, they seem to be stuck in that black hole, where they won’t be bad enough to land a mega-star or good enough to seriously contend for an NBA title. It’s an awful place to be as a fan too, because you know your team isn’t going to compete to win it all. Hang tight, Pistons’ fans, the suffering isn’t ending any time soon.
