3. Orlando Magic

At least the Miami Heat have South Beach, but the Orlando Magic? Low blow, I know. But the Magic have a storied franchise filled with big men that left far too soon. From Shaquille O’Neal leaving for the greener pastures of Los Angeles to Dwight Howard wanting out of Orlando, the Magic fans are used to stars leaving.

But at this juncture in this franchise, the team is awaiting the next big star to arrive in Orlando. They have a solid head coach in Frank Vogel, but the team doesn’t have a franchise player to build around.

Nikola Vucevic, Elfrid Payton and Mario Hezonja don’t sound like the players that’ll lead you to an NBA championship. They all might be contributing pieces, but the Magic seem to miss that one key franchise star.

They appear to be directionless and are caught in the vicious cycle of mediocrity in the NBA. A place where you can’t land a high enough draft pick to draft the next Kevin Durant or LeBron James.

So sorry Magic fans, you find yourself at No. 3 on the power ranking of the NBA suffering.
