New York Giants: Odell Beckham Jr.

The New York Giants really struck a gold mine when they nabbed up Odell Beckham Jr. a few years ago in the 2014 NFL Draft, and he’s been a Pro Bowler, an incredible scorer and one of the league’s best receivers ever since he first stepped foot on a field in the NFL. Now, he’s become a favorite on televisions in another medium for fans to enjoy.

Beckham was an instant star in the NFL after he made that infamous catch against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday Night Football in 2014, and was marketed as such shortly thereafter. With the hype already there, EA Sports decided to take advantage of the opportunity and threw OBJ on the cover of Madden NFL 16.

The game added plenty of new animations to match up with Beckham’s crazy catch, and he became of the best receivers in the game for his “spectacular catch” rating in the game, alongside his speed against defenders attempting to guard him. He changed how the game operated, and now he’s become a big reason for some of the insane one-handed grabs that EA has thrown into the game for fans to enjoy.

Beckham was a 92 overall last year, and moved up to a 93 overall for this year’s rendition of the game. However, nothing will be able to top his 94 overall rating during his year as the cover star, and he was an easy threat for Eli Manning to utilize in the game on any long tosses downfield. He’s not going to be a 99 anytime soon, but he is truly game-breaking and the best Giants player in Madden history.
