Green Bay Packers: Aaron Rodgers

This may be a bit of a tough and controversial decision to make, especially with the two talented quarterbacks you have to pick from when you look at the Green Bay Packers’ history, but Aaron Rodgers may be one of the most fun quarterbacks to ever play with on your Madden offense.

Obviously Brett Favre is likely a popular option here when you try and decide the Packers’ best all-time Madden player, and he even has a Madden cover to go along with his incredible career (granted, he appears on two different teams on the cover). But, Rodgers

He was a 96 overall in Madden NFL 17 on the game’s launch date, with 91 awareness rating and 78 speed, which is solid for a quarterback with an arm like his. He had a 97 throw power, which is pretty realistic considering the massive Hail Mary’s Rodgers has somehow completed over the last few years. However, it makes it incredibly tough to defend against the Packers quarterback if you go up against him in a game.

If those stats from last year aren’t crazy enough, Rodgers was a 99 overall the year before in Madden NFL 16, making him one of the league’s best to have under center in the game. He’s also a 98 in this year’s game, so he’s consistently been a top player in Madden for a long time at this point.

It may have been more fun to play with Favre for the nostalgia feelings you’d get, but as far as actual gameplay is concerned, it’s tough to have a better quarterback in the game, let alone in Packers history, than Rodgers.
