New England Patriots: Tom Brady

This is where things start to get a little dicey, and compromises need to be made when it comes to certain dominoes falling into place on this list. However, it’s tough to argue with giving the greatest quarterback in NFL history the title of the New England Patriots’ best Madden player ever.

Tom Brady is an all-time great, and he’s been in every Madden game over the last 17 years. He’s been a 99 overall multiple times, and he adds to that resume as the highest rated quarterback in this year’s installment of the game. To add onto it, he even took the spot as Madden NFL 18’s cover athlete for the first time in his career (although he’s made appearances on other video game covers throughout the years).

This year could be peak Brady when it comes to Madden, considering he has Julian Edelman, Rob Gronkowski, Brandin Cooks and plenty of other weapons to utilize, which is crazy to think about when you consider he just hit 40 years old. If this year’s Patriots roster isn’t enough for you, you can head back to the 2009 installment of the game, where you can put Brady alongside Randy Moss, Wes Welker and a great offense to work with.

Moss has a case to make as the Patriots’ greatest Madden player of all-time as well, and maybe even Gronkowski as well, but it’s tough to argue with consistency at the top of the Madden universe for years and years of the game’s history.
