Los Angeles Rams: Marshall Faulk

The St. Louis Rams were one of the most dominant teams in the NFL in the early part of the 2000’s, with guys like Kurt Warner, Isaac Bruce and plenty of other big names carrying their roster. However, none were bigger than Marshall Faulk, who put in some great work in their backfield as a part of The Greatest Show on Turf.

Faulk was a star for the Rams in their Super Bowl title win, and also in their Super Bowl appearance two years later against the New England Patriots. Because of that success for him and the team, Faulk landed on the cover of the 2003 edition of Madden, and went down in video game history as one of the best running backs ever in the game.

Although the Rams offense was incredible already with the guys previously mentioned, Faulk was a true ringer for the team and pushed them over the top. Whether he was taking carries or catching passes from Warner both out of the backfield or as a receiver, Faulk frequently ended up in the end zone for pay dirt for the Rams.

He’s shown up in recent editions of the game as a legend, but nothing can top his 99 overall rating in 2003 as the game’s top running back. He was a true force to be reckoned with in the game, but we could see Aaron Donald take over his spot as the best Ram to ever lace them up (well, virtually) real soon.
