Cleveland Browns

, AFC North

The Cleveland Browns may very well go with Brock Osweiler under center in their season opener, which is cause for concern for their fan base. Of course, Osweiler may be able to rekindle the magic that made him a sought-after free agent after the 2016 season, but that may be wishful thinking. Last season, Osweiler was downright bad for the Houston Texans, and may have cost them a chance at a spot in the AFC Championship Game.

For the Browns, they do have some reinforcements behind Osweiler. They went out and spent a second round pick on DeShone Kizer, a very talented quarterback from the University of Notre Dame. Kizer is pushing Osweiler for the starting job, and some actually believe he may be able to wrestle it from Osweiler. Also, Cody Kessler is on the roster, and he started a few games for the Browns last season.

Having those three guys as your option to start at the most important position in football is a scary thought. Kizer is going to be a good one, but what can you expect in year one. They do have a solid offense line, and Isaiah Crowell is a tough runner, but you need good quarterback play if you are going to do anything in today’s NFL.

Outside of that, I really love the direction this franchise is heading in. Their draft picks should be very good players down the line, and their top pick, Myles Garrett, is already showing to be a difference maker. He is going to be a special one, and with the solid moves this organization made this offseason, they may actually not be a laughingstock in the NFL in a couple of years. But in 2017, it is going to be a tough one.
