Derrius Guice

RB, LSU

Backing up Leonard Fournette might cause a running back to get overshadowed. That didn’t stop Derrius Guice from making a name for himself and being recognized as the next best running back in the SEC.

He’s a powerful running back that runs straight through defenders and uses that power to accelerate to that next level. If teams were happy to see Fournette get drafted and move on, they have a new headache when facing LSU.

He was able to get an early start on making a name for himself thanks to some injury woes involving the man in front of him. When he did hit the field, he took advantage of every opportunity that he was given.

When a running back has videos of himself go viral for lifting a lot of weight in the weight room, then he’s got a reputation that follows him. That reputation of course is being a freak that can bulldoze through just about anything.

If he can have the impact that his predecessor had, Guice can push himself into the conversation for best running back in the nation. After all, he did put up close to 1,400 yards and finished with 15 touchdowns in 2016.
