The Seattle Seahawks have officially introduced a new logo. If you find yourself feeling just a little uncomfortable, you’re definitely not alone.

The Seattle Seahawks announced the addition of a new alternate logo on Tuesday through the team’s official Facebook page and, upon making eye contact with the intensely fierce bird, my frightened phone sprung out of my hand and scurried down the hallway.

After one look, I think everyone will understand why.

For everyone who’s ever wondered what it would be like to stand face-to-beak with a Seahawk. Stay tuned for info on where you’ll see this new alternate Seahawks logo.

Gah!

As noted in the FB post…

"“For everyone who’s ever wondered what it would be like to stand face-to-beak with a Seahawk.”"

No thank you. Even in cartoon form, this is pure nightmare fuel.

However, as I’ve bravely looked at it more and more, it’s managed to become increasingly amusing instead of completely unsettling. And that’s probably because it reminds me of my favorite emu photo that always seems to make the rounds on Twitter in some capacity.

Thankfully, Twitter was there for us once again and delivered the proper goods.

Perfection.

It’s almost as if the Seahawks used this famous, affable emu as the foundation to build a much angrier, jaded bird.

If that was the case, consider this mission a great success.

As one might assume, that was just the beginning of the mockery.

The fact that we can transition from a super closeup of an emu to Montgomery Burns and have them both be 100 percent accurate when compared to the new logo is precisely why it’s vital to have a Twitter account.

But wait, there’s more.

Getting the sense that poor Jimmy Clausen will never escape the wrath when it comes to any and all bird comparisons, all because of some excessive use of hair gel years ago.

Very unfair!

This one might be my favorite so far.

And this one makes me want to hide under a blanket or possibly flee the country.

It would be crazy not to mention that famed Muppet, Sam The Eagle, holds some stark similarities with Seattle’s new bird.

It’s mostly the vibe of intense anger as well as the pronounced beak.

Now with all of that said, I must admit the new alternate logo looks phenomenal on hats (I can’t wait to get one) which is apparently what the Seahawks will primarily be using the logo for; hats and t-shirts.

You won’t be seeing this cantankerous fella on uniforms or helmets anytime soon.

Then again, who knows.

If the hats fly off the shelves like wild geese, Seattle may decide to incorporate the logo further in the coming years.
