4. Oakland Raiders at Tennessee Titans

While it might not be up there with some of the other matchups, this is a sneaky contender for the best game you’ll watch this week. It features two teams with young up-and-coming quarterbacks.

After earning his big payday, the expectations are at an all-time high for Derek Carr. The 26-year-old quarterback is an MVP candidate, but has yet to get the Raiders over the playoff hump. He’ll be tasked with that job in a tough AFC West division. Even with NFL Defensive Player of the Year Khalil Mack, the Raiders defense struggled on all accounts last season. Can they do enough to keep the team in games? We are going to need to see more from secondary, who are led by 2016 All-Rookie corner Karl Joseph.

Marcus Mariota returns for his first regular season action since breaking his leg in week 16 of last season. As one of the best dual threats in the league, Mariota is a nightmare to plan against for defensive coordinators. The Titans’ offense has established a dangerous one-two punch on the ground with DeMarco Murray and Derrick Henry. They’ve also added wide receiver threats with first-round pick Corey Davis and veteran Eric Decker. Needless to say, Mariota is going to have a ton of weapons at his disposal this season. They will be showcased on Sunday.

This will be a high scoring affair. Give me Carr and Mariota throwing bombs all day and I’ll definitely turn it on.  Murray and Lynch should have their way on the ground behind two improved offensive lines. I’d definitely take the over on this one.
