Winner: Oklahoma Sooners (No. 5 up to No. 2)

Traveling to Columbus for a rematch of last year’s three-touchdown victory in favor of the Buckeyes, Oklahoma looked to exact revenge. However, through 30 minutes of action, it looked like both sides would be battling down to the wire. The Sooners and Buckeyes were tied at three apiece heading into the half of the biggest game in Week 2.

Despite not having Bob Stoops at the helm this time around, the Sooners remembered what happened last season and vowed not to let that be the case yet again. The loss to the Buckeyes dropped them to 1-2 on the year and it took a major run at the end of the season to make a New Year’s Six bowl.

Well, Oklahoma got its playoff run off on the right foot this season after an opening-week blowout of UTEP and then a convincing 31-16 victory over Ohio State on the road. This team might just stay inside the top five for the remainder of the year.

If Baker Mayfield can continue to play at this high of a level, the Sooners could be undefeated by the time the Big 12 title game rolls around.
