Alabama Crimson Tide SEC

Last week: W 41-10 vs. Fresno State
Last rank: 1

For the second consecutive week, the Alabama Crimson Tide land as the No. 1 team in our rankings. It should not come as any surprise, as they currently are the unquestioned No. 1 team in the country. The Alabama offense looked a lot better this weekend, probably because they were not playing Florida State, but it was a very convincing victory, and they deserve to be No. 1 once again.

Quarterback Jalen Hurts stole the show on Saturday, as he accounted for three touchdowns in the Crimson Tide’s 41-10 victory at home. Hurts rushed for over 150 yards and two touchdowns, while hitting Hale Hentges for a first quarter touchdown to put the Tide up 14-0. The sophomore actually scored his first touchdown on the second play of the game, as he sprinted 53 yards for an Alabama score.

The defense was locked in on Saturday, holding the Bulldogs to only 10 points. In fact, Fresno State had a first quarter field goal, and did not tack on another point until the fourth quarter. As expected, it was an absolute dominant performance by the most dominant team in college football.

The road continues to get easier for the Crimson Tide, who play host to Colorado State next week. They then hit the road to play Vanderbilt before returning home for Ole Miss, so all signs point to this being another undefeated regular season. The No. 1 spot on our rankings will likely not change until Alabama loses, which I do not see happening anywhere in the near future.
