10 RB sleepers to target for fantasy football week 1
3. Chris Carson
Another one of the easiest waiver wire pickups to recommend, Carson finds himself in a completely up-for-grabs backfield on a prolific offense. There are four running backs in the picture, but who’s going to be “the guy”? Or will it simply be a situation we want no part in? At this point, it’s too difficult to figure out.
Thomas Rawls is listed as the official starter on the Seahawks’ depth chart, but he’s a game time decision for Sunday coming back from injury. C.J. Prosise, the sophomore third-down and receiving back, is also returning from injury, but he’s been declared ready to go. Eddie Lacy, the new free agency addition from Green Bay, looked like the No. 1 in the preseason, but it was Carson who stood out and made the most plays. He had two scores in the opener, a 13-yard run and 17-yard reception in game two, and topped it off with 90 total yards in game three (including a long 37-yard grab) when he was mixing in with the first team.
If the team is going to ride the hot hand, Carson should see plenty of action on Sunday and the seventh round pick from Oklahoma State will be a Week 1 star.
