Each year, Apple presents us with new products, apps, software, and more. On Tuesday, Apple gave the first ever Apple event from the Steve Jobs Theater.

As the first event in Apple’s new Steve Jobs Theater, Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO, says, “it’s only fitting that Steve should open his theater.” So he did. A speech recording from Steve played as the message “Welcome to the Steve Jobs Theater” appeared on the screen to open the latest Apple Special Event.

Tim Cook had a lot to say about the new home of Apple, Apple Park. Powered by 100 percent renewable energy, Apple Park has much to offer the company’s employees. However, Apple Park has a few things to offer for customers, including a visitor center, a redesigned Apple retail store and more.

“Today at Apple” was also announced. Today at Apple is a fun new addition to Apple where you can visit Apple retail stores and learn even more than you could before. Local artists, musicians, app developers and more will teach different lessons, and how Apple products and software help “unlock their potential.”

Apple Watch is getting some pretty awesome upgrades. A redesigned workout system will be added with Watch OS4, enabling users to better their health even more. You can now see even more about your heart rate with the newly enhanced updates to the Heart Rate app. Heart not beating normally? Apple Watch can now detect through “Apple Heart Study” when you heart isn’t beating normally. Watch OS4 will be available Sept. 19 to all watch users.

With the new Apple Watch, cellular is built in, meaning your iPhone does not need to be near you in order to get all your notifications, make calls, etc. You can also stream all of your favorite music from your wrist. Series 3 will be the same casing size as the Series 2 watch. New bands, new watch faces and a new grey ceramic watch finish will all be available Sept. 22.

Apple TV has been one of Apple’s neatest creations, and the newest addition is Apple TV 4K. With the new TV, the user interface has been redesigned with a new, sharper, eye appealing, image. The 4K versions of movies on the iTunes Store will be available at the same price as HD versions.

The iPhone… HIGHLY anticipated. What does iPhone have to offer for us now? Apple has created probably the greatest iPhone yet. The iPhone 8 will have glass front and back. The device will come in space grey, silver and a new gold color. The iPhone 8 and 8 Plus are also microscopically sealed to protect against water and dust. These new devices will be packed with new stereo speakers that are 27 percent louder than the previous iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. The cameras on the new iPhone 8 and 8 Plus will have an all new 12MP camera, new sensors, optical image stabilization (8 Plus only) and a lot less noise in your all of your photos. The new iPhones will feature wireless charging, eliminating those pesky cords that break way sooner than they should. The new storage options are 64GB and 256GB, with the iPhone 8 starting at $699 and the 8 Plus starting at $799. Pre-orders start Sept. 15, and they will be available Sept. 22.

Wait! There’s more…

The iPhone X is here, and it is quite the iPhone. The iPhone X comes in space grey and silver. This beautiful new iPhone has a “super retina display.” This is the first iPhone to exclude a home button. How will you navigate the device? Well, the way you use this device will be based solely off 3D Touch and gestures. Also with the new iPhone X comes Face ID to unlock your device.
