NFC East

  • Dallas Cowboys 1-0
  • Philadelphia Eagles 1-0
  • Washington Redskins 0-1
  • New York Giants 0-1

The NFC East joined the AFC North with all interdivisional games on Sunday. The Cowboys handled the Odell Beckham Jr.-less Giants behind a dominant pass rush and patient offense. Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott played well in their sophomore debuts while the Giants offensive line looked like it is going to be a problem for them all year.

The Eagles took care of the Redskins behind Carson Wentz’s two touchdown passes. Neither team could run the ball very well and had to rely on their quarterbacks with Wentz making more plays and less errors than Kirk Cousins.

NFC South

  • Atlanta Falcons 1-0
  • Carolina Panthers 1-0
  • Tampa Bay Buccaneers 0-0
  • New Orleans Saints 0-1

The Falcons avoided a Super Bowl hangover in Chicago beating a surprisingly feisty Bears team. Tight end Austin Hooper stole the show with 128 yards receiving while Matt Ryan looked impressive in two fourth quarter scoring drives. Carolina took to San Francisco and beat the new look 49ers easily. Cam Newton still needs to knock some rust off but the Panthers had no trouble running the ball with either Johnathan Stewart or rookie sensation Christian McCaffrey.

NFC North

  • Minnesota Vikings 1-0
  • Green Bay Packers 1-0
  • Detroit Lions 1-0
  • Chicago Bears 0-1

The Vikings did not welcome Adrian Peterson back with open arms, instead they showed him he may have left behind a more potent offense than the one he joined in New Orleans. Sam Bradford and rookie running back Dalvin Cook impressed. The Packers beat the Seahawks thanks in part because Aaron Rodgers is still himself and the Seahawks offensive line still stinks. The Lions defense forced a bunch of turnovers and Stafford was dealing in their win over the Cardinals.

NFC West

  • Los Angeles Rams 1-0
  • Seattle Seahawks 0-1
  • Arizona Cardinals 0-1
  • San Franscisco 49ers 0-1

The Rams lead the NFC West, just like everyone expected. They dominated the Colts in the opening weekend. The coaching change in Los Angeles already working wonders for former number one pick Jared Goff.
