Calvin Ridley

WR, Alabama

Ridley appears to be en route to an ultra-productive junior season and earns the top spot on the week three big board among wide receivers.

Alabama didn’t need much from Ridley in the easy win over Fresno State, as he caught five passes for 45 yards while adding a 13 yard rushing attempt. Ridley was Alabama’s passing offense  in the win over Florida State with 82 yards and a touchdown against arguably the best secondary in college football.

Since arriving at Alabama as a freshman in 2015, Ridley has consistently been among the most productive wide receivers in college football. The blue chip recruit lived up to lofty expectations right away with an 1,000 yard season and added another 742 yards and seven touchdowns in 2016 to key Alabama’s back-to-back title game runs.

Ridley is one of the nation’s fastest wide receivers in the open field and is nearly impossible to catch one he gets behind any opposing cornerback. Combined with a 6-1 frame, Ridley has one of the highest ceilings on the big board, and could get even better if he can add some strength.

The Crimson Tide probably won’t be throwing much on Saturday against Colorado State, so we might have to wait longer to see Ridley put up a huge performance.
