College Football Week 3: NFL Draft big board rankings
Now finally back on the field and fully healthy, Victor is well on his way to being one of the top linebackers in the class of 2018.
After serving a one-game suspension in Washington’s hard-fought victory over Rutgers to open the season, Victor played for the first time since early November on Saturday against Montana. The All-American linebacker had a brief showing with four tackles before being taken out, as the Huskies rolled to a 63-7 win.
Victor emerged as a star in his 2015 sophomore campaign with 95 tackles, including 9.5 for loss, 1.5 sacks, an interception, and six passes defended. While well on his way to a similar campaign last year, Victor suffered a fractured right leg in a game against California, which likely made him decide to return for his senior season.
A freak athlete at 6-foot-3 and 231 pounds, Victor has the quickness to patrol sideline to sideline and can drop back into pass coverage if needed. As those all-around numbers show, NFL teams will covet Victor’s versatility, and he has star potential as a run-stuffing linebacker if the leg hold up.
Victor will be challenged more as the season goes on by tougher competition, but the Huskies should have no issues on Saturday against Fresno State.
